Fruit Custard - A Delight Dessert
Be the caramel to someone's
custard so as to be relished with every single bite
Everyone might be fond of desserts after their
delicious meal. Many of us are grown up having Halwa, Kheer, Ladoo’s, Chocolates as
a dessert. But Fruit Custard have a prime position among all of these, both
regarding taste and nutritional value.
It is the thing which can be given to babies of
even 7-8 months. It is favourite among all age groups though ingredients might
change as person to person likes.
Well, Fruit Custard is the mixture of fruits with
custard sauce. One might add Chocolate Syrup or Caramel as a complimentary ingredient
which enhances its tastes and texture. Talking about its nutritional value per
serving, it contains 237 calories (which is 12% of daily value).
Ingredients Required: -
1. Few Fruits (Apple, Pomegranate, Mango, etc. as
per like-dislike)
2. 1-2 tablespoons of Custard Powder
3. 1 Cup milk
4. 1-2 tablespoons of Sugar
Preparation: -
Step 1 - Boil the milk and add sugar into it.
Step 2 - Stir it well and while stirring add
custard powder into it & make sure lumps should not form.
Step 3 - Keep stirring it until the milk gets
thick.
Step 4 - Turn off the gas and let the milk be cool.
Step 5 - Now, add chopped fruits in to custard milk
and serve it cold.

1. Custard has been popular
since the Middle Ages, but at that time it was used as a pie filling.
2. In US, 17th August is
celebrated as National Vanilla Custard Day & 8th August as National Frozen
Custard Day.
3. The name “custard” is
derived from “croustade”, which refers to the crust in which the dish was
baked.
4. On 25 April 2014, Molly
Schuyler eaten 5.44 kg custard in just 3 minutes and made the world record for
the same.
So, next time whenever someone says they don’t like
fruit salad put it in this way, he/she will definitely like it and will ask for
